NU professor has presenter use sex toy in class
A recent incident at Northwestern University has left some school administrators and parents shocked. A professor at the school ended a class on human sexuality by having a female presenter demonstrate how to use a vibrating sex toy, according to The Associated Press.
On February 21, Professor John Michal Bailey told his students that they could stay after class and view a couple using the sex toy. He allegedly warned the college kids that the steamy session would be graphic, but around 100 students elected to stay.
Afterward, Jim Marcus and Faith Kroll, who are engaged, climbed on a stage and demonstrated how to use the toy. During the demonstration, students discussed issues such as safe sex and mutual consent.
"It is probably something I will remember for the rest of my life," said one student who watched the demonstration. "I can't say that about my Econ 202 class and the material that I learned there."
Vibrating sex toys such as the LifeStyles® a:muse™ Personal Pleasure Massager are quite popular among couples in the United States. A recent survey conducted by the Center for Sexual Health and Promotion and Indiana University found that nearly half of the participating heterosexual males have used a sex toy with their partner.
