LifeStyles Harnesses the Power of Social Media to Donate Over 20,000 Condoms to the AIDS Healthcare Foundation

#KnowYourStatus Social Media Campaign Raises Awareness for National HIV Testing Day

Iselin, NJ (July 29, 2013) – The makers of LifeStyles® Condoms (“LifeStyles”), one of the nation’s leading condom brands, announced in June the launch of the #KnowYourStatus social media campaign, resulting today in a donation of over 20,000 condoms to the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

Created to raise awareness for National HIV Testing Day on June 27, 2013, this campaign asked social media users to donate their status updates to the cause, with Lifestyles donating one condom to the AIDS Healthcare Foundation for every #KnowYourStatus hashtag featured on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram from June 25-27. The #KnowYourStatus campaign was recognized as one of the first to utilize the new Facebook hashtag, which resulted in over 12,000 dedicated status updates across participating platforms.

As part of the campaign, LifeStyles Condoms donated 10,000 condoms to Condom Nation, an AIDS Healthcare Foundation initiative embarking on a 25 state tour to give away 10 million free condoms and promote condom use and safer sex in America.
